From time to time, our churches get involved with special events and activities. This section exists so that we can share our memories and experiences of these very special occasions.

Dates & Events

Here are the dates of special events that are due to be taking place in the near future:

July

• Nechells Community Fun Day at St Matthew’s School, Duddeston Manor Road, Nechells on Saturday 3rd July from 12-4pm
• Somme Sunday at Aston Parish Church on Sunday 4th July at noon
• CMS Buffet Supper with speakers Rob & Liz Watson giving a Sudan Update at Aston Parish Church Centre on Friday 9th July from 6.30 pm – cost £5.50
• Marriage Preparation Day for couples getting married in the next few months on Saturday 10th July from 10 am to 4 pm at Aston Parish Church Centre
• St James visit to Colwall, our link church, on Sunday 25th July
• Bell Ringing Competition at Aston Parish Church and Centre on Saturday 31st July
• New Wine at Newark from Saturday 31st July to Friday 6th August

August

• Shared Parish morning worship at Aston Parish Church on Sunday 29th August at 11 am

September

• Lee Abbey Aston Household reopening service at St James Church on Saturday 4th September at 3.30 pm
• Back to Church Sunday and Harvest at St Matthew’s – Sunday 19th September
• Back to Church Sunday and Harvest at Aston Parish Church and St James – Sunday 26th September
