2010 Alpha Day Away Summer

Half way through the Alpha course, the group went to a day away, where they learned about the Holy Spirit. An enjoyable time was had by all.

2010 Somme Sunday

A service of remembrance for those who died in the battle of the Somme and during the evacuationf of Dunkirk.

2010 Aston Heritage Day (26.6.10)

On Aston Heritage Day, many of Aston's treasured opened free to the public, allowing them to have a look around places that are not normally open to members of the public. The weather was beautifully sunny and the event well attended.

2010 Witton Fun Day

Over 1400 people came - a record-breaker. 200 faces were painted and many people prayed for. The queues were so vast that though we had enough food we could not cook it quickly enough.

2010 Abseil

On 29 May 2010, there was a fundraising event. This was a HUGE abseil down Aston Parish Church tower and a church fete alongside. The was aimed at raising money for the youth work of the parish, the Salvation Army and Rejuvenate Worldwide, a charity taking inner-city children to Africa. A record amount was raised, as over 60 people took to the heights of the tower, as well as making use of all the other activites going on.

Baptism font (Aug 2007 - March 2009 / Feb 2010)

In August 2007 after a great deal of deliberation, it was decided that a new baptistry font should be built. Since it was completed, several baptisms have taken place in it. Definitely an asset to the church. The split in ending dates were the date it was completed and the day that the last leak was completed.
